December 3, 2009 /India PRwire/ — Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. today announced that the Innova has been ranked highest in the MUV/MPV segment in the J. D. Power Asia Pacific 2009 India Initial Quality Study. This is the fifth consecutive year that the Toyota Innova has been ranked highest in the J. D. Power IQS Study.

The study, which measures problems owners experience with their new vehicles during the first two to six months of ownership, examines more than 200 problem symptoms covering multiple vehicle categories. Vehicles are rated on the basis of the number of problems per 100 vehicles and a lower rate of problem incidence indicates higher quality.

Commenting on the award, Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director, Marketing, TKM, said, "The Innova has redefined the Indian automobile market by attracting customers from both the passenger car segment and MPV segment. We’d like to thank our customers for their overwhelming response to the performance, versatility, innovative comfort and perfect luxury that the Toyota Innova today stands for. This is reflected in the month-on-month increasing sales figures of the Innova in India."

The prestigious 2009 J. D. Power IQS Study, now in its 13th year, is much respected as a source of authentic information both by customers and players in the automotive industry alike.
