Magna Global Advertising Forecast Report 2009-10 predicts growth story for India

The Indian print industry, deemed as the second largest in the world, is expected to grow by an average of 14 per cent by 2015. Turner deal dilutes NDTV’s presence in entertainment biz

Following months of speculation, NDTV and Turner finally announced their decision to enter a deal where Turner would acquire 76 per cent of NDTV Imagine for $67 million. This, combined with the subscription of fresh shares in the company for an addition $50 million, would take Turner’s stake in Imagine to over 90 per cent. NDTV officials inform that the activities of the last two months have made NDTV a “debt-free and a cash rich” company. This move also reiterates Turner’s aggression to be in this space in India.
