— ‘Shobhit University Business Incubator (SUBI)’, a unique initiative of Shobhit University, designed to accelerate the successful development of entrepreneurial skills and Industrialization, organized first time in Meerut, a “Indo-German Industrial Cooperation Conference” in support with the 23 German Companies delegation promoted by Federal Ministry of Economy and Technology, Germany to foster the industrialization of Western UP in the Shobhit University Campus, Meerut.
The conference cum one – to – one business interaction meet was organized with the objective to provide a platform to Indian companies as well as German companies to explore the business opportunities in the area of Trade, Technical collaboration, and technology transfer etc, in Meerut region.
The conference was chaired by Mr. Claus D. Hagenhoff, Head German Industries delegation along with Shri Hemant Kumar, President of Meerut Industrial Development Forum and Prof. (Dr) Anoop Swarup, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Shobhit University. Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor, Shobhit University presided over the conference.
Prof. Vishal Bishnoi, Coordinator, Shobhit University Business Incubator (SUBI) in his welcome address informed the delegates about the initiatives and achievement of the University. He also highlighted the objectives and benefits of the ‘SUBI’ and this conference.
Mr. Claus D. Hagenhoff, Head German Industries delegation, in his presentation introduces all the members of German Delegation. Mentioning the purpose of their visit to India and Shobhit University, he praised the efforts of SUBI to provide platform to international business community for interacting with potential partners in non-metro cities like Meerut. He requested Shobhit University for providing skill development support to the German Industries, and thanked SUBI for assistance in identifying potential business partners and in creation of business with Meerut based industries.
Mr. P K Gupta, Chairman IIA (Meerut Chapter) in his presentation said that this unique initiative will open new avenues for the MSME sector in the era of globalization. He thanked SUBI for supporting the Industries in getting the International Linkages.
Shri Hemant Kumar, President of Meerut Industrial Development Forum, in his address highlighted the industrial history of the town and discussed in detail about the present industrial scenario. Expressing his confidence about a brighter future of Meerut based industries, he thanked the Vice-Chancellor of the University for proving them a global opportunity, which was only available in Metro cities till date through organizations like FICCI, ASSOCHEM and CII.
Prof. (Dr) Anoop Swarup, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Shobhit University focused on the need of providing such platforms where academic institutions and industries can come together and pool their expertise for the development of the nation. Mentioning about the global industrial scenario he asked the industries to focus on globalization of their trades and products. In his address, Prof. Swarup emphasized upon the adoption of latest technologies and use of solar and non-conventional energy more in the industries.
Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor, Shobhit University, opined the need of such visit in the region for conversion of potentials to reality reiterating that the Shobhit University will always happy to be the platform for the industry.
The presentation session was followed by an interaction and open house discussions among the German trade representatives and the Meerut Industry representatives for establishment of business and cooperation. In total 11 MOUs with different German Industries were singed during the first ever such conference. These MOUs has been signed in the area collaborative research, Students/ Faculty exchange, Strategic linkages, Technical tie ups and corporate representation.

Ltd., Powerteck Electricals (P) Ltd., Saru Precision Wire and others were represented by their senior management.
