Oscars 2010 Not Availble on Cablevision From Abc Dispute

The issue centers around a reported $40 million difference in payments which BC wants Cablevision to pay. Cablevision has been showing a special announcement on its systemsto customers mentioning that the company pays already $200 million per year for the rights to air ABC and does not want to pay another $40 million per year for these same rights.

Cablevision covers the Tri-State area in the northeast with estimated revenues annually of $8 billion.

ABC alleges that Cablevision has been billing customers for broadcast channels like ABC but not sharing revenue with ABC.

Current Cablevision customers are left with no signal on the ABC station for the time being while the resolution is worked out.
