NOKIA users get FREE GPS Navigation Maps from SatGuide

SatNav makes aggressive plans to foray into Symbian Domain

December 16, 2009 /India PRwire/ — SatNav Technologies, pioneers in GPS Navigation in India since 2005 through the brand SatGuide, today launched a FREE version of GPS Navigation Software and Maps for Symbian OS phones by Nokia. The FREE navigation software with maps of 412+ cities of India can be downloaded fromwww.satguide.in. Windows based phones from HTC, HP, imate, ASUS and ACER are already offering SatGuide Navigation Maps, which enjoys majority share in the India market. With this move, SatNav has reached out to the large base of Nokia users who will now be able to access extensive localized Indian maps and chose from the application most suited to them.

Nokia phone users can use it for free for up to 10 times and then either reinstall once again to continue using it for FREE or upgrade with a one-time payment of 2138 Rs and use it lifelong without recurring charges or reinstallation. SatGuide is an onboard solution, which allows users to avoid incurring heavy GPS subscription prices and suffer from poor GPRS connectivity which is still maturing in the country. The software will provide an access to detailed maps for 412+ Indian cities and over 16 lakh point of interests (POI’s). In addition, SatGuide offers partner’s maps for US, Canada & Europe which allow users to navigate across the globe using one single mobile device.

SatNav is also giving an incredible CASH BACK offer to the users downloading free version fromwww.satguide.in. If they choose to upgrade the software within 30 days of the downloading the free version, they will get 1000 Rs Cash Back from the company which in effect would mean a literal 50% discount on the regular price. This offer is only for a limited period and for those who purchase on the website. Since Nokia promotes its own maps and their dealers/distributors have not been as receptive to SatGuide as compared to the response of Windows phone distributors. Nokia users were being deprived of the high quality detailed maps from SatGuide and their excellent localized after sales service and support for the Indian market.

On this occasion, Amit Prasad, Founder & CEO of SatNav Technologies said "We are leaving no stone unturned to spread awareness about GPS technology amongst consumers in India because it offers immense value and makes a positive impact on the daily lives of individuals across the country. At the same time we also aim at providing quality solutions at an affordable price for the mass market. Our latest initiative empowers users to try our services and evaluate the value proposition before taking a call on which application they would like to use in the long term. "

The SatGuide Mobile Navigation Software can be installed on most Symbian OS phones by Nokia and Samsung like N95 N95, E66, 6110, N82, 6210, E57, 6220, N78, N96, N73 and Samsung i560, among others.
