BIG 92.7 FM & Durbar Mahila Samanya Committee spreads awareness about HIV and AIDS on the Occasion of World AIDS Day at Sonagachi

The awareness campaign which will be carried out both on-air and on-ground will focus on spreading the right information and will urge people to stop discrimination towards HIV infected people.

December 1, 2009 /India PRwire/ — BIG 92.7 FM No. 1 FM Station Network in association with Durbar Mahila Samanaya Committee on the occasion of World Aids Day organized a day long HIV and AIDS awareness campaign on 1st December’09 to keep the public informed about the reality, myths and misconceptions about HIV and AIDS. The awareness campaign which will be carried out both on-air and on-ground will focus on spreading the right information and will urge people to stop discrimination towards HIV infected people. The campaign kicked off at Sonagachi the largest red light district in the city. Road shows, quiz compettion, talking doll show and an all day information cell were set up to increase awareness and fight against AIDS. Trams painted with awareness messages will run through the streets of the city.
