Mumbai, October 7th, 2009: Albert Almeida joins South Asia’s leading digital and mobile entertainment company Hungama Digital Media as Chief Operating Officer for their Mobile Business. Albert was the Executive Vice President and Business Head of Sony Entertainment Television (SET) till recently. He will be responsible for Hungama’s Domestic and International Mobile business covering Entertainment, Platforms and Applications Businesses. Albert spent 6 years with SET in varied roles ranging from Head of Marketing to the Business Head of Max, their movies and events channel. Prior to that Albert has spent 14 years in Advertising and Marketing where he was Vice President and Regional Account Director at J Walter Thompson, having worked in Mumbai and New York.
Albert will be working closely with Neeraj Roy, Managing Director & CEO, Hungama Digital Media. With Albert coming on board, Neeraj said, “Albert comes with extensive experience across Media, Entertainment, and Marketing, which are integral to the convergence opportunity that lies ahead for our company. He has managed businesses and teams in local and international markets very effectively and has been an inspirational leader to the businesses he has served.
